Really Pregnant

I don't remember why, but I knew I was pregnant right away. I wasn't quite four weeks along when The Targo went to the grocery store and bought a test. When it was positive, I simultaneously thought "AWESOME! YEAH!" and "Oh no! Here come the symptoms." Well, nothing happened. I felt fine. So, the pregnancy didn't even seem real. And then we saw the tiny heartbeat on the sonogram. Our lives changed because it was really real.

Four more weeks and I had no major symptoms. I was a little tired, but that's been my state of being since we went from a one-cat-household to a two-cat-household. Another couple of months went by and we had our first ultrasound and there, there was an actual baby in my belly. You could see everything! (Well, almost everything, since we didn't want to know the sex.) But still, everything was fine, except that I had to officially get a maternity wardrobe.

During the past four weeks, I've come to feel really pregnant. I'm eating everything that's not nailed down. My stomach has exploded! I've detailed my terrible heartburn (Tums and I are like *this*) and I'm sorry for the TMI. The baby moves around and kicks and dances all the time. And I am so tired that I'm pretty useless around the house. I tell the The Targo that he has to take advantage of my rare bursts of energy and get me out.of.the.house.

I'm not complaining, not at all. I'm just thinking how wonderful these past 7 1/2 months have been. And I'm really glad to have gotten to share it with you nice people.

7 1/2 months already! Wow, time really flies!

I can't wait to meet him/her! And babysit. Which isn't as weird now, because we've like met and stuff. :)

I will not be babysitting, but still, am enjoying hearing about the pregnancy and look forward to the pictures that you will post ad nauseum. Because that's what mommybloggers do!

sometimes I don't feel pregnant either, because I never got sick and I'm losing, not gaining weight.

*sigh* life is so hard.

Sounds like it hasn't been too bad! You give me hope. I've known too many women with miserable pregnancies.

I can't believe we're only 6 weeks out! Come on baby Marianne-Targo!

I remember the heartburn. With my first, my daughter, it was so bad that the last month I slept in a recliner in our living room, hlaf-sitting up. Because it was impossible to sleep otherwise.

Oh, the days.

Hey, we're the ones that are glad that we can share it with you! I wish I would've been a blogger when I was preggo. It would be so neat to go back and read about my journey. You don't have that much longer to go girlie!
