The Targo and I have a garage space that we rent. This is awesome for many reasons, particularly during street cleaning and snow emergencies. We share the garage with another person (we have no idea who he/she is, but there are two spots) and it's a couple doors down from our apartment. About once a week, we get a phone call from our landlady/lord that the door is open. I'm not sure why this happens, but The Targo is convinced it's our fault. I don't think so, but am not one to argue. *snort*
The other day, after our garage was reported open all morning, we got into the garage. The Targo looked in the garage for our salt. He was all distraught.
Me: "It must have been taken while the door was open. Oh look! They took those two jackets I had hanging up over there."
The Targo: "But who does that? Honestly! Who would take another man's salt?!?!"
Me: "Just look for the guy wearing my trench coat or a [my employer] jacket. That's your culprit."
Poor The Targo. I know he's all bummed out about his salt.

That's just wrong! What a pain!
OKay - stealing coats is just wrong unless you are homeless - then I could at least understand it (although they are still stealing, I would have pity on them). What is the possibility the other person is leaving the garage open?
How do you decide who gets to park there when? I mean...is it first come, first serve?
