One of the most frustrating things about this stage is the assertion of independence at the most inopportune times --- like on the changing table. Changing Nathan's diaper or changing his clothes is a two-person, fifteen minute project. It's just crazy. I can't figure out how to make him cooperate when he really, really wants to get up and run. Who can blame him? It's much more fun to be running around like a lunatic than putting on your jammies.
We're working more on identifying objects, and he absolutely knows where the kitty is... when we're talking about our kitties. He knows the difference between Mystic and Magic. That's not bad for someone just past one! My father-in-law can't even tell them apart!
I guess this is all to say that there's not much to report, except that he's a happy, healthy, crazy little monkey. Somehow, every day is really really fun.

He is quite the little gentleman. And talk about cute, he grows more adorable by the second. You are such a lucky mama!!
Oh, we are so with you on the diaper/clothing changes. I have mastered the art of the standing diaper change because it is the easiest most of the time.
