When Nathan went to his 6-month exam a couple of weeks ago, he had no evidence of teeth in his tiny little mouth. Since then, two bottom teeth have started coming in with a vengeance! Nathan, whose disposition has changed dramatically since he has outgrown his acid reflux, has been whiny, screamy and it's just sad.
He's also caught a minor cold. I had heard that nasal congestion and low grade fever often accompany teething - but I've recently read (I have no idea which account is more reputable) that they are not normal parts of teething. Rather, they may indicate infection. I have no idea.
On the positive side, the hesitant forward crawling has turned into officially going forward. Right. Now. Sometimes, one of his legs gets a little confused and he'll tuck it under his bum. And suddenly, he's sitting. He looks so confused when this happens. Perhaps that's just his face, which looks so much like The Targo right now.
I don't know if I've mentioned this before, because I have no short term memory, but I'm making all of Nathan's baby food. So far we've had carrots, apples, bananas, and peas. The Targo has begged me to feed him no more peas. It's been really fun to make his food, and so easy. I don't think I've tasted baby food in a jar as a non-baby, but this food tastes so good because it's fresh. On this week's menu: Corn, plums, peaches.
