Thirty *cough-cough-cough* Three

Happy birthday to me ...
Happy birthday to me ...
Happy birthday dear meeeeeee (and the way cuter and much younger Janet) ...
Happy birthday to me.

MAN, have I aged this year. Sometimes I look in the mirror and I think "wow, you look really old today." Other times, I feel like I'm a young lookin' thirty-something. But mostly, I cannot believe how quickly life moves. Has it really been THAT LONG (15 years, Holy God) since I graduated from high school? Omigosh.

I think no year in my life has flown by more quickly than this past year.

We had just found out I was pregnant. Look at that skinny face ... with NO DARK CIRCLES.

Four months pregnant and hanging with Nogy - one of the coolest California girls, ever.

Babymooning with my first love in Italy. Gettin' chubbier.

The day I met the other love of my life.

Nathan was one week old in this photo. And I was one week without sleep. I don't think I could focus on where the camera was.

Nathan was three weeks old, I'm a pretty sure I was delirious. Look at that glassy-eyed smile! And also, the dark circles were beginning to take over my face. (Baby boy --- look at all of your hair!) Sweat pants. Gah.

Two weeks ago ... all of the sleepless nights and bad skin are totally worth it.

So, I may be a year older, but I can safely say this has been the best year of my life. Watch this video and tell me if you agree. It's about the funniest word in the world.

OH MA GOD!! That video is absolutley fantastic!!!
Hehehee, who cares about bad skin (and you so can't see that in the photos) and glassy eyed stares...aren't those badges of honors for new parents?? Anyway both you and Nathan look happy and healthy, which is all that matters.
I still can't get over how adorable he is. *eep!!!!*

LOVE the video! I've watched it three times. You look great! Even more distressing is when I look back at those early pictures and remember how good I thought I looked because I could walk normally. But you do look really good! It's worth the dark circles, and that part doesn't last forever.

and Nathan is just too darling. that hiccupy giggle is totally worth the lack of sleep. this coming from someone who is totally sleeping. LOL

Yup, grey hair, tired lines around the eyes.... all worth it for a few seconds of the giggling and smiles. My doctor told me to blame any excess "after weight" on the baby and over the years I just blame everything else on them too! Totally worth it! : )

Your son is just the cutest little fellow. Wished you lived around here so he could visit me when I'm at work ~ having the little ones come by always lightens up my day.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! (from a total stranger -I wandered here from another blog - spending time with my computer and morning coffee!)

I got a baby boy for my 33rd year too! (that was 7yrs ago, eep!) Totally the best year ever - along with my 35th year, when I got my baby daughter :) You do not look old! The dazed and tired look is a given, it goes with the happy and blessed smile you get with motherhood too - and Nathan is absolutely adorable! I love his laughter! Hope you had a wonderful day.

what a cute video! The first time Josiah laughed like that I cried! Oh, it's such a great thing to be a mommy! It's totally crappy sometimes but, like you said, it's SO worth it.
It's so great to see you & your baby via the blog. Hope you're doing well.
